Salt & Lavender Clothing + The 100 Strong

Women-Led. Community-Driven. Shopping with Intention.
At Salt & Lavender Clothing, I’ve always believed that shopping can be more than just buying something new to wear. It can be a way to support small businesses, strengthen local connections, and give back to the community we’re all part of.
That’s what shopping with intention means to me—being thoughtful about where we spend, who we support, and the impact our choices can make.
Recently, Salt & Lavender Clothing joined The 100 Strong, a women-led, community-driven collective giving circle, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of it.
What is The 100 Strong?
The 100 Strong brings women together to create meaningful impact in our local community in a simple, powerful way.
Each member contributes $100 twice a year, and together those pooled donations become a significant gift to a local nonprofit organization.
Here’s what makes it special:
-Members can nominate local nonprofits to be considered
-A small group of nonprofits is selected to share their mission and the work they do
-Members gather twice a year to hear these stories
-Then, members vote, and the collective donation goes to the selected nonprofit
It’s a thoughtful and efficient way to give back—one that doesn’t require a huge time commitment, but still allows every member to have a voice in where the donations go.
That balance is something I really love. It makes contributing to meaningful change accessible and realistic, even in the middle of busy lives.
Why This Matters to Salt & Lavender Clothing
From the beginning, Salt & Lavender Clothing has been about more than clothing. It’s about connection, confidence, and community.
Joining The 100 Strong felt like a natural extension of that mission.
We officially joined in February and are looking forward to attending our first meeting in April. I’m excited to learn more about the organizations serving our community and to be part of collective giving that makes a real difference.
Giving Back Through the Spring Sip & Shop
Community is also at the heart of our events.
A portion of proceeds from our Spring Sip & Shop on February 28 will go toward supporting The 100 Strong.
Events like this are one of my favorite ways to bring people together—supporting women-owned businesses, discovering new favorites, and giving back at the same time.
The Heart Behind Shopping Small
When you choose to shop small, you’re not just purchasing an item. You’re:
-Supporting a local business owner
-Tax dollars stay in your local community
-Encouraging creativity and entrepreneurship
-And sometimes, contributing to causes that reach even further
And it’s why I believe so strongly in shopping with intention.
Thank you for being part of this community and for supporting Salt & Lavender Clothing.
